Day-by-day itinerary

  1. 1Day

    Arrive Kathmandu

    Met at Tribhuvan International or the Kakarbhitta border and transferred to the hotel. Evening in Thamel. Indian nationals need no visa; a passport or Voter ID is required.

  2. 2Day

    Kathmandu valley

    Pashupatinath on the Bagmati, Boudhanath at dusk when the butter lamps are lit, and Swayambhunath above the city. Kathmandu Durbar Square and the Kumari Ghar in between.

  3. 3Day

    Kathmandu to Pokhara

    Fly in 25 minutes, or drive 6–8 hours on the Prithvi Highway with a stop at Bandipur. Afternoon on Phewa Lake by rowing boat to the Tal Barahi temple.

  4. 4Day

    Sarangkot and Pokhara

    Sunrise from Sarangkot at 1,600m over the Annapurnas and Machhapuchhre. Devi's Fall, the Gupteshwor cave and the International Mountain Museum. Optional tandem paragliding.

  5. 5Day

    Pokhara to Nagarkot

    Return to the valley and continue to the Nagarkot ridge at 2,175m, 32km east of Kathmandu, for the Himalayan panorama. Sunset from the viewpoint.

  6. 6Day

    Nagarkot sunrise and Bhaktapur

    Dawn over the range, then down to Bhaktapur, a medieval town of brick lanes and the five-storeyed Nyatapola temple. Patan Durbar Square and its museum in the afternoon.

  7. 7Day

    Departure

    Transfer to Tribhuvan International or the border. Extensions to Chitwan National Park or Lumbini arranged on request.
