1Day
Arrival and transfer to Darjeeling
Met at Bagdogra or New Jalpaiguri and driven up the Hill Cart Road, about 3 hours, to Darjeeling at 2,050m. Evening at Chowrasta and the Mall, both car-free and flat.

2Day
Tiger Hill sunrise and the toy train
A 4am departure for the Tiger Hill sunrise over Kanchenjunga, then Batasia Loop and Ghum Monastery on the way back. The Darjeeling Himalayan Railway joyride to Ghum and back in the afternoon, subject to availability.

3Day
Tea gardens and the town
The Happy Valley tea estate with a factory visit in plucking season, then the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and the zoo's snow leopard and red panda enclosures. Afternoon free on the Mall.

Departure
Drive down to Bagdogra or New Jalpaiguri, with an optional stop at Mirik lake on the Dudhia route. Extensions to Gangtok or the Bhutan border at Jaigaon arranged on request.
