About

A travel company that lives where your holiday begins

Cross Over Holidays LLP is a registered tour operator working from Jaigaon, the West Bengal town that sits directly against the Bhutan border gate at Phuentsholing. We plan trips across nine destinations in the Himalayas and Southeast Asia, and we run every one of them ourselves.

How we started

Cross Over Holidays did not start as a plan to build a travel brand. It started because we were already at the border, already dealing with the permit office at Phuentsholing on our own trips, and friends kept asking us to sort theirs too. The company came after the habit, not before it.

We registered as a limited liability partnership because we wanted the business to be accountable in the way an informal local fixer never is: a real entity, a real invoice, a real address you can look up. That matters more in this part of the country than most, where a lot of Bhutan and Sikkim trip planning still happens through word of mouth and cash handed to someone's cousin.

The office is on the first floor of the India Hotel Building in Jaigaon, opposite ICICI Bank, a short walk from the Bhutan Gate. That location is not a coincidence and it is not marketing copy. When a permit needs collecting, someone from our team walks over. When the north Sikkim road closes after rain, we hear it from drivers we know before it makes the news.

How a trip with us actually works

  1. 1Step

    You tell us your dates

WhatsApp, the enquiry form, or a phone call — whichever is easiest. We ask for your dates, group size, and roughly what you have in mind. No account to create, no form longer than it needs to be.

  2. 2Step

We send a day-by-day plan and a price

A real itinerary, not a template with your name pasted in — built around the season, the permits your destination needs, and the pace you asked for. The price is itemised, so you can see what is and is not included before you decide anything.

  3. 3Step

We adjust it until it is right

Nights, hotel category, vehicle type, which days are long and which are easy — all of it is negotiable at this stage. Most of our itineraries go through two or three revisions before anyone pays anything.

  4. 4Step

You travel, and we stay reachable

Permits, hotel confirmations and transport are handled before you land. One person on our team stays reachable on WhatsApp for the whole trip, not just up to the point you paid.

What we do not do

We do not run every destination in India, and we are not trying to. Bhutan, Sikkim, Darjeeling, North-East India, Ladakh and Kashmir, Nepal, Thailand, Vietnam and Bali are the nine places we know well enough to plan properly, and we would rather say no to a tenth than plan it badly. If you ask us about somewhere outside that list, we will tell you plainly rather than take the booking anyway.

We also do not oversell an itinerary to close a booking. If your dates fall in the wrong season for a place you have your heart set on, or your timeline does not allow proper altitude acclimatisation, we will say so before you pay a deposit, not after.

Questions people ask us directly

Yes. Cross Over Holidays LLP is a registered limited liability partnership based in Jaigaon, West Bengal. We invoice formally and our office address is public — 1st Floor, India Hotel Building, Opposite ICICI Bank, Jaigaon.
We plan and coordinate every itinerary ourselves, and we work with the same drivers, hotels and local guides on repeat trips rather than the cheapest option each time. Bhutan permits specifically are processed by our own staff at Phuentsholing, not a third party.
You have a WhatsApp number for a real person on our team for the length of your trip, not just the booking stage. If a road closes or a hotel falls through, that is our problem to fix, not yours to discover alone.
Yes. We are on the first floor of the India Hotel Building in Jaigaon, opposite ICICI Bank, a short walk from the Bhutan Gate. Many guests heading to Bhutan overland stop in on their way through.
