Why Us

Because we put six things in writing

Most complaints about tour operators come down to the same handful of things — a price that moves, a permit nobody filed, a hotel that was not the one you were shown, and no one answering when it matters. Here is where we stand on each.

A written quote sheet with all inclusions listed
01 — Written quotes

The price you're quoted is the price you pay

Every quote lists what is included and what is not — permits, fees, meals, entry tickets, driver allowance. You see the full number before any money moves. Nothing is added at drop-off, and nothing is owed to the driver on the road.

Ask for a full quote
02 — Registered LLP

A registered LLP, not a border-side agent

Cross Over Holidays LLP is a registered limited liability partnership. You get a proper invoice and a company that stays accountable after you have paid. Permits are filed by our own staff — never a middleman holding your fee and your documents.

Ask about permits
03 — No substitutions

The hotel and vehicle you were shown

Hotels are named in your itinerary, not described as “3-star or similar”. The vehicle class you booked is the vehicle that arrives. If something genuinely becomes unavailable we tell you before you travel and offer a like-for-like alternative — never at the kerb.

See a sample itinerary
04 — Reachable on the road

Someone answers when the road closes

Hill roads shut. Weather turns. Flights move. One number stays reachable for your whole trip, and the person who answers is the person who planned it — no ticket queue, no handover to a department that has never seen your itinerary.

Message us now
05 — Sensible pacing

Itineraries with room to breathe

Packed schedules look generous on paper and exhaust you in practice. We build in acclimatisation nights before any big altitude gain, keep driving days short on hill routes, and leave unplanned hours in. Fewer stops, properly seen, beats a checklist.

Tell us your pace
06 — At the border

We're at the gate, not three states away

Our office is on the first floor of the India Hotel Building in Jaigaon, opposite ICICI Bank — minutes from the Bhutan permit counter at Phuentsholing. When paperwork needs collecting, someone walks over. You can also just come in and meet us.

About Us
About us

A travel company that lives
where your holiday begins

Cross Over Holidays LLP is a tour operator based in Jaigaon — the West Bengal town that sits directly against the Bhutan border gate at Phuentsholing. Our office is on the first floor of the India Hotel Building, opposite ICICI Bank, a short walk from the counter where Bhutan entry permits are issued.

That location is the reason the company works the way it does. When a permit needs collecting, someone from our team walks over. When a road closes in North Sikkim, we hear it from drivers we know rather than from a news alert. Being close to the ground is not a line in our marketing; it is simply where we are.

We plan journeys across nine destinations — Bhutan, Sikkim, Darjeeling, the North-East, Ladakh and Kashmir, along with Nepal, Thailand, Bali and Vietnam. Every itinerary is built to be changed, and one person stays reachable on WhatsApp from your first enquiry until you are home.

Indian nationals do not need a visa for Bhutan, but they do need an entry permit issued at Phuentsholing, plus the Sustainable Development Fee. You must carry a valid passport or a Voter ID card. Our office is a short walk from the permit counter, so we arrange this for our guests directly.

March to May and October to December give the clearest mountain views and the most comfortable temperatures. October and November coincide with major festivals in Bhutan. June to September is monsoon season, with landslide risk on hill roads.

Indian nationals need a permit for protected areas of North Sikkim such as Nathula, Gurudongmar and Tsomgo Lake. Arunachal Pradesh requires an Inner Line Permit for Indians and a Protected Area Permit for foreign nationals. We apply for these on your behalf before you travel.

Send us your dates and group size on WhatsApp or through the enquiry form. We share a day-by-day itinerary and quote, refine it with you, and confirm the trip with an advance payment. Permits, hotels and transport are then handled by our team.

Yes. Every itinerary on this page is a starting point. We routinely adjust the number of nights, hotel category, vehicle type and pace of travel for families, senior travellers, honeymooners and corporate groups.
